We spent an unforgettable weekend of faith, fellowship, and fun with hundreds of youth from the Orlando Diocese and their youth ministers. We look forward to Rock the Universe 2026, when we will bring more youth and more churches and share our faith in new and innovative ways, thanks to our collaboration with Lou Repassy and Universal Orlando Resort.

On Tuesday, January 14, Youth Ministers, Young Adult Ministers, and Parish Catechetical Leaders gathered representing half of the Diocese of Orlando. The ministers were equipped with the new framework for Youth and Young Adult Ministry from the USCCB: Listen, Teach, Send. On this day the office launched the professional development cohorts that will run for the next four months. Participants had the opportunity to collaborate on implementing the framework across the diocese.

The pastoral framework of Listen, Teach, Send calls us to reevaluate how we accomplish the goals of our ministry. It invites us to review ways for us to authentically engage and build trust with the population in the community that we serve. The framework challenges us to teach them through catechesis, prayer, and worship how to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ by proclaiming the kerygma of our faith. We are summoned to equip those we minister to with the tools necessary to be leaders in the faith community and proclaim the kerygma to others in their community.
