Pentecost was never meant to be confined to a single place, it was a movement across nations, languages, and borders.
At Pentecost, the Spirit arrived in the midst of a migration moment: people had gathered in Jerusalem from every nation under heaven, each hearing the gospel in their own language. In that moment, the Holy Spirit did not only speak, He formed something new.
The Church was born.
Not defined by empire, ethnicity, or geography, but by the Spirit of God Himself.
And as Revelation affirms, the global Church is ultimately composed of every tribe, language, people, and nation, gathered before the throne in worship. What began at Pentecost finds its fulfillment in this eternal picture: a redeemed humanity united in Christ.
From Pentecost to Revelation, we see the same story unfolding, God forming a people on the move, a multilingual and multiethnic body that transcends every border and bears witness to His kingdom.
In our present moment, as migration continues to shape the realities of families and nations, the Church is called to respond with presence, compassion, and faithful witness.
Through the initiative and in collaboration with National Latino Evangelical Coalition - NALEC, UNDIVIDED World Relief & CCDA - Christian Community Development Association, we stand in that ongoing story praying, listening, and walking alongside immigrant communities as we bear witness to the hope of Christ in every language and land.
The Spirit is still moving. And so are the people of God.
