🎉 Orland River Day is this Saturday! 🎉

Come enjoy Orland River Day this Saturday from 9 AM–3 PM and be sure to stop by the Orland United Methodist Church while you’re out and about!

We’ll have:
⭐️A big yard sale with all kinds of great deals and treasures
⭐️A bake sale filled with homemade goodies
⭐️Homemade baked beans — because it just wouldn’t be River Day without something delicious!

Come shop, grab a treat (or two!), pick up some baked beans, and say hello. We’d love to see you!

LET’S TALK ABOUT GOOD NEWS SHOES!

With back-to-school season here, we thought this was the perfect time to reintroduce the Good News Shoes Ministry and remind our community that we’re here to help.

Good News Shoes is an outreach ministry of the Orland and Bucksport United Methodist Churches, created with one simple mission: to help members of our community get the footwear they need.

We provide new shoes, sneakers and boots for school-age children, including footwear needed for school, athletics and other activities. We may also be able to assist adults who need appropriate or specialized footwear for work.

If you live in one of the RSU 25 communities — Bucksport, Orland, Verona Island or Prospect — and your household receives SSI or other public assistance, you may qualify for help. Our program can provide a voucher or gift certificate toward the purchase of needed footwear.

If your child needs a new pair of shoes, you need footwear for work, or you know someone who could use a little help, please reach out to us.

OUMC will be meeting jointly with Bucksport UMC for this event and luncheon to follow after. PLease come, bring a friend, experience joy and fellowship. This family travels all over the country in their van ministering in music to small church communitys. This is a love offering worship time and there will be CD's available for purchase also.
