Hello Second Grade Families!
We wanted to reach out with a unique opportunity for a few of our second-grade girls.
Due to having a small group of registered third graders this season, the league and our parish have given us special permission to allow up to four second-grade girls to join the third-grade girls basketball team. This exception was made to help ensure the team has enough players to provide a fun, positive, and successful first season in the basketball league.
Please know that this is not something that will become the standard going forward. It is simply a one-time solution to help this particular group of girls have the opportunity to field a complete team, and have the best experience possible.
If your daughter is interested, she would practice and play with the third-grade team throughout the season. While the girls will be playing against mostly third graders, the focus at this level is on learning the game, developing fundamental skills, building confidence, and having fun. Practices are at the discretion of the coach. Games for this league are typically on Saturdays or Sundays (1x per week) typically in Mount Greenwood or Crestwood.
Because we are only able to add four second graders, spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If your daughter would like to participate, please complete her registration form as soon as possible. Once the four spots have been filled, registration for this opportunity will close.
