Get ready to blast off into COSMIC QUEST! 🚀🌎✨ We’re heading to space as we discover God’s incredible story and have a whole lot of fun along the way!

We’re thankful for every person who works hard each day to make a difference in our families, workplaces, churches, and communities.

Join us THIS MORNING for service at 10 AM!

Today is going to be a little different as we gather for a short service before heading out into our community to serve!

We’ll be putting our faith into action through various work projects and writing thank-you cards for our firefighters, police officers, and local mayors’ offices to let them know how much we appreciate all they do for our community.

This is such a special opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving, encouraging, and loving the people around us!

So come ready to worship, serve, and make a difference!

WE HAVE SOME BIG NEWS TO SHARE.

This past Sunday Pastor Ashley and Pastor Vernon shared about how they have been praying, listening, and seeking the Lord about what He has next for their family. And through that process, God has made the next step clear: to plant a church in Charlotte, North Carolina.

In Genesis 11, Abram’s family set out for Canaan, but they stopped in Harran, just short of where God had called them to go. They didn’t necessarily plan to stop. They simply found a place that was comfortable, familiar, and easy to stay.

Sometimes God calls us to take a step that is uncomfortable, uncertain, or requires us to leave behind what we know. And when He calls, we have a choice: Will we stay comfortable, or will we trust Him and follow?

For the Johnson family, following that call means leaving this church community they have called home for more than 14 years. But we also believe that when God calls, we have to be willing to go.

Christian Hills Church is honored to be the sending church for Vernon and Ashley and will be partnering with and supporting them as they step out in faith to plant Extended Grace Church in Charlotte, NC.

This isn't just about leaving.
It's about going.
Going where God is leading.
Going in faith when we don't have every answer.
Going because we trust the One who called us.

And honestly, that's the challenge for all of us.
What is God calling YOU to?
You don't have to have everything figured out. You just have to be willing to say yes.

Please join us in praying for Pastor Ashley, Pastor Vernon, their family, and the future of Extended Grace Church. We are going to miss them dearly, but we are honored to send them and excited to see what God is going to do through their obedience.

This isn't goodbye. It's a sending.
