Saint Elizabeth Seton Church - Orland Hills We are a heartfelt and welcoming Catholic community with over 2,400 families who seek to live out our baptismal call to follow the Lord. Please Join Us!

Our Roman Catholic parish is a very large, welcoming southwest suburban community of over 2,400 families. Despite our large size as a community, we do seek a small town community feel. We seek to try to be a place where people know one another, form a welcoming parish family, and live out our baptismal call to follow the Lord. Our community has built and enjoys wonderful facilities, has the U.S. D

epartment of Education Blue Ribbon Award for Academic Excellence Cardinal Joesph Bernadin regional Catholic grammar school on its campus, and has organizations of all types for all ages. We offer religious education for students from first through eighth grades; have a long-time, on-going, large and lively adult scripture study program; and provide formational activities for all. Our community has a great commitment to social justice and for assisting those in need. Please know you are very welcome to join our community!

How do you explain the mystery of the Holy Trinity?

In this reflection, Father Dan shares how he struggled to prepare a homily for Trinity Sunday. There are countless theological concepts that help us understand God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. But sometimes the most important thing is not learning more facts about God.

It is learning to know Him personally.

Father Dan reflects on the difference between knowing about someone and truly knowing them. God does not simply want us to understand ideas about Him. He wants a relationship with us. He wants to reveal His heart, His love, and His presence in our lives.

One of the most powerful ways to encounter God is through silence.

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and constant activity, Father Dan invites us to take just a minute or two today to be intentionally silent and place ourselves in the presence of the Holy Trinity.

You may be surprised by what God wants to show you.

We invite you to respond and engage:
• Subscribe to our YouTube channel for more reflections from Father Dan.
• Share this video with someone seeking a deeper relationship with God.
• Leave a comment about how silence has helped your prayer life.
• Follow us on social media and stay connected with parish life.

The Trinity is not just a mystery to study. It is a relationship to enter.

Father O’Mara’s faithful leadership, priestly ministry, and vision helped establish and guide our parish community in its earliest years. We give thanks to God for his life, his vocation to the priesthood, and the many ways he shepherded generations of parishioners with faith and devotion.
