What’s for dinner? At First Baptist Church tonight our Wednesday Weekly Faith, Food, and Fellowship dinner features a Taco and Fajita bar with all the fixings. Hard and soft shell tacos.

Two great desserts are on tap. Ding D**g Cake and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Peach Cobbler.

Dinner is at 5. A short message from Proverbs from Pastor Jeremiah at 5:30. Come join us. No charge. Everyone is welcome.

2026-09-06 Who's Your One? We Search Diligently Luke 15:8-10

Pastor Jeremiah continues our September series of, “Who’s Your One?,” as we are encouraged to mentor and help lead at least one person to Christ this month. The parable we study shows how diligent and caring God is to save every soul for eternal life.

The Parable of the Lost Coin

8 “Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins[a] and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Due to the car show, park in back of the church or a bit down the street by the barber shop.

Come visit Pastor Jeremiah Bullock and other volunteers from First Baptist Friday night between 8 pm and 930. Proceeds from Orion Fall Fest are distributed throughout the year to help local people in need.

Every Wednesday at 5 PM is our Free
Faith, Food and Fellowship dinner. We
welcome you to come in out of the heat and
enjoy a delicious dinnner and dessert.

This week we serve as the main course a Dr.
Pepper infused Pulled Pork dish with Cole slaw, Zucchini cornbread casserole, creamed peas,
Honey Bun cake, and a pistachio flavored treat.

Pastor Jeremiah will share some wisdom
from Proverbs at 5:30 and we will confide at
6 PM.

This morning Pastor Jeremiah will launch a new sermon series: “Who’s your one? (Evangelism)”

The Parable of the Lost Sheep

15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”

3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
