Prince of Life is a community of folks who are aware of God’s goodness and love, and who want to respond by following Jesus in our everyday lives. We’ve become connected to this faith family because we’ve discovered:

* A warm, welcoming atmosphere where we find a place to belong
*A place where we can ask questions as we grow spiritually
*A community that wants to help bring healing to our world

Come explore with us what following Jesus could look like in this new millennium!

Happy Father's Day!

Today we give thanks for fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, mentors, and all those who have shared wisdom, guidance, love, and care throughout our lives.

We celebrate those who reflect God's steadfast love through acts of encouragement, sacrifice, patience, and service. We also hold in prayer those for whom this day may be difficult—those who grieve, those who are separated from loved ones, and those whose relationships with fathers are complicated.

As a community of faith, we thank God for all who nurture, teach, and care for others, helping us grow in faith and love.

"See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God." — 1 John 3:1

May God's peace and blessing be with you this Father's Day.

Join us here at POL for RIC Sunday, June 14th!!

🌈 What does it mean to be an RIC congregation?

RIC stands for Reconciling in Christ—a designation in the Lutheran tradition that publicly affirms a congregation’s commitment to welcome, include, and advocate for LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC people in the life of the church.

To be RIC means more than saying “all are welcome.” It means intentionally living out Christ’s call to love our neighbors by working toward a community where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, gender expressions, racial identities and ethnic traditions are embraced as beloved children of God.

For an RIC congregation, this includes:
✨ full participation in worship and leadership
🤝 creating a culture of safety, respect, and belonging
📖 grounding our welcome in the Gospel of Jesus
🕊️ continuing the work of listening, learning, and reconciliation

Being RIC is a public promise: you don’t have to hide who you are to be part of God’s family. You are seen, valued, and loved.

Because in Christ, there is room at the table for everyone.

📖 What is the Narrative Lectionary?

Starting this Sunday we will begin following the Narrative Lectionary—a way of reading Scripture that helps us experience the Bible as one unfolding story of God’s love and salvation.

Rather than jumping between sometimes unrelated passages each week, the Narrative Lectionary invites us to walk through major parts of the Bible in a connected way—hearing how God’s promises in the Old Testament lead us to Jesus Christ in the Gospels.

For Lutherans, this fits beautifully with our belief that Scripture is ultimately about God’s grace revealed in Christ. Week by week, we listen for how God is still speaking, still calling, still forgiving, and still forming us into God’s people.

✨ It’s not just random readings.
📚 It’s a journey through God’s story.
✝️ And it always leads us to Jesus.

Come worship with us as we follow the story of faith—together!

Happy Holy Trinity Sunday! ✨

Today we celebrate one of the great mysteries and gifts of the Christian faith: God is One—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

For Lutherans, Trinity Sunday reminds us that God is not distant or abstract, but personal and present—a God who creates, redeems, and sustains.

🌿 The Father creates and gives life
✝️ The Son, Jesus Christ, saves us by grace
🕊️ The Holy Spirit calls us, gathers us, and strengthens us in faith

We may not be able to fully explain the Trinity, but we can trust what it reveals: God is relationship, God is love, and God draws us into that love.

We are baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and we live each day surrounded by the grace of the Triune God.

Thanks be to God!
