We are SO excited for baptisms this Sunday! Whether you have been faithfully following Jesus for years or are new to your faith, baptism is a powerful step in your journey.

By choosing baptism, you are walking in obedience to Jesus command in Matthew 28:19 AND declaring publicly your commitment to love and follow Him.

If you feel ready to take this step, we invite you to sign up at mvcommunity.net or through our Church Center and take the plunge this Sunday!

Everyone is invited to join us this Sunday, directly after 11AM service right outside the Niemeyer Center, to celebrate with those being baptized! 🎉

Meet Alex Newkirk, Mountain View’s new Youth Pastor 👋

Today we had a special time of prayer & welcoming for Alex as he will move into this new position next month.

Some fun facts about Alex:
• Mountain View kid since he was in PreK
• OC grad + Multnomah University alum
• Hooped for the Pios & Lions 🏀
• Multiple extended mission trips
• Spent the last year interning with Portland Rescue Mission
• Passionate about helping young people know Jesus
• Excited to invest in and walk alongside the next generation at Mountain View
• And one very important fact: absolutely NO pineapple on pizza!

Alex would love to meet you! Join us in welcoming him into this new season at Mountain View — and be praying for him as he steps into all God has ahead 🙏

Child Dedications! ✨

Sunday, May 31, both services, we will be dedicating precious little ones to the Lord, committing to raise them in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6).

As a church family, we get to link arms with them—encouraging, supporting, and praying as they lead their littles to know and follow Jesus. 👏

Reach out to Pastor Heidi if this is a step you’d like to take!

Last Sunday, our “Why” series continued with a message from Pastor Brian on the question: “Why Would a Loving God Send People to Hell?”

It’s a deep and important conversation that points us back to God’s truth, grace, and eternal purpose for our lives.

Because we’re not just living for today—we’re living to glorify God forever.

Join us next Sunday on another question in the series: “Why Can’t I Change?”
