Join us tomorrow for worship at 9:15 a.m. This will be our last summer service as next week on Sept 13th we return to our fall schedule of two worship services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Rally Day for Sunday School will begin at 9:00 a.m. Confirmation meeting for parents and students will be held at 9:15 a.m. in room 8. Thank you for joining us today for worship in person and online. If you were watching online, please know that the fire alarm went off as part of our firedrill that we conduct at least annually. We have a new Bishop - elect!!!! Congratulations Bishop- elect Rev. Jennifer Dee!!!

The Rev. Jennifer Dee has been elected to a six-year term as bishop of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod!

Pastor Dee currently serves as Lead Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Robesonia, a role she has held since 2023 after serving as Associate Pastor there for more than a decade. Ordained in 2008, she previously served St. John's Lutheran Church in Loogootee, Indiana. She earned a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and a Bachelor of Arts from Keene State College.

Bishop Elect Dee is the first woman elected bishop of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod. She will succeed The Rev. Christopher deForest, who is completing his first term as bishop. Information regarding the installation service will be announced at a later date.

Today June 4th - Saturday June 6th the NEPA Synod is happening! Doug and Margie Clark and Pastor Dody are our voting delegates.

The main focus of business over these 3 days will be to elect a bishop. Other business and church wide speakers will be present as well. So if you want to see what goes on at synod assembly and the workings of the greater body of Christ, which Jordan is a part of, tune in.
