📖❤️ **A LITTLE TIME IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR WEEK CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.**

Life is busy.

There will always be another errand to run, another thing on the to-do list and another reason to say, **“Maybe next week.”**

But sometimes what we really need is an hour to slow down and spend some time in God's Word. 🙏

Tonight we'll open Scripture, ask questions, learn together, pray together and encourage one another.

No matter where you are in your faith journey, **there's room for you.**

❤️ **GOD IS STILL WORKING.**

Just because you can't see what's happening doesn't mean God isn't moving.

Some prayers take time.

Some doors don't open when we expect them to.

Some seasons last longer than we ever thought they would.

And sometimes we're standing right in the middle of the story wondering how in the world God is going to use any of it.

But He sees what we can't.

He knows what's ahead.

And He is able to work through circumstances that make absolutely no sense to us right now. 🙏

💙 **GRIEF IS LOVE WITH NOWHERE TO GO.**

When someone we love is gone, the love doesn't disappear.

That's part of why grief can hurt so deeply.

There are memories you still want to share.
Stories you still want to tell.
Moments when you reach for the phone.
Days when you would give anything for one more conversation.

And sometimes you just need people who understand. ❤️

Our Grief Support group is a safe, Christ-centered place where you don't have to explain why you're “still” grieving.

**There is no “still.” There is no deadline.**

There is simply your story, your loss and your journey toward healing — and you don't have to walk it alone.

❤️ **CHURCH IS MORE THAN A PLACE WE GO.**

Church isn't just a building we walk into on Sunday morning.

**It's who we're called to be when we walk back out.**

It's checking on someone who's hurting.

It's feeding someone who's hungry.

It's praying for a neighbor.

It's encouraging someone who's struggling.

It's showing kindness when nobody is watching.

It's using whatever God has placed in our hands to love the people He has placed around us. ❤️

At First Methodist Church of Ore City, three little words remind us of the kind of church we want to be:

❤️ **INVITE** — Make room for others.

🌱 **GROW** — Keep becoming more like Christ.

🤝 **SERVE** — Put our faith into action.

Because following Jesus was never meant to happen only inside four walls.
