We are looking for two host families for our Totus Tuus missionaries this summer! Missionaries arrive Saturday June 13th and leave Saturday June 20th.

Hosting missionaries is a wonderful opportunity to support this faith-filled ministry and welcome these young adults into your home during their week serving our parish. Host families provide lodging, breakfast, and a welcoming environment for the missionaries.

The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church

Memorial

Having attentively considered how greatly the promotion of this devotion might encourage the growth of the maternal sense of the Church in the pastors, religious and faithful, as well as a growth of genuine Marian piety, Pope Francis has decreed that the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, should be inscribed in the Roman Calendar on the Monday after Pentecost and be now celebrated every year.

This celebration will help us to remember that growth in the Christian life must be anchored to the Mystery of the Cross, to the oblation of Christ in the Eucharistic Banquet and to the Mother of the Redeemer and Mother of the Redeemed, the Virgin who makes her offering to God. [1]

Please join us in prayer for Deacon Noah Huddleston. As he prepares to be ordained to the priesthood, we invite you to gather in faith to pray with and for Deacon Noah, and to give thanks to Almighty God on the eve of the Ordination Mass. A Eucharistic Exposition and Evening prayer will take place on Thursday, May 28 at 6:00 p.m. (CST) at the home parish of the Ordinand (St. James Catholic Church in Kearney). If you cannot make it, you may join us by praying for this special intention at the time of the Holy Hour is to be taken place.

Deacon Noah's Ordination Mass will take place on Friday May 29, at 5 p.m. (CST) at the Cathedral, in Grand Island.
