Friends and family, I’m excited to share that my newest work — Sanctified Bars & Freedom Songs: A 29-Day Prophetic Devotional for Black History Month — is officially available!
This is not just another book. This is a movement on the page.
It’s where Scripture meets hip-hop, where freedom songs shake hands with the prophets, and where the Black church tradition stands tall in a world still wrestling with justice and truth.
For 29 days, this devotional walks you through the Revised Common Lectionary with:
🔥 A “Hip-Hop Flow” paraphrase
🔥 A quote from Black faith leaders
🔥 A gospel or freedom song
🔥 A hip-hop lyric
🔥 A justice-centered reflection
🔥 A short prayer
It’s the meeting place between the hush harbor and the block, where Thomas Dorsey can stand beside Kendrick Lamar and the elders speak across generations.
This devotional is perfect for:
✨ Churches
✨ Pastors & worship leaders
✨ Youth & young adults
✨ Small groups
✨ Freedom-minded readers

✊🏾 Faith in Action Moment

Friends, I’m calling on every clergy, lay leader, and justice-minded soul to join the Moral Monday Virtual Teach-In this Wednesday, October 8 at 7:00 PM ET.

This isn’t just another event—it’s a moral moment.
We’ll face the truth of our policy climate, hear real testimonies from impacted neighbors, and organize together for disciplined, nonviolent moral action through our state delegations.

All are welcome—clergy and non-clergy, people of every faith or no faith at all. Because silence is not an option. Faith must move.
