Do you like cats? My mother, Joan, who passed away recently, loved them….here is a collection of her cat related treasures that I’m putting together in the pictured bag for a raffle to begin this summer, as we continue to raise funds for First Universalist. Included will be a lap quilt and two pillowcases (all made by Mom), as well as this colorful sweater set, an appliqued sweatshirt, a kitty themed dishcloth and a pillow with advice about the questionable trustworthiness of people who wouldn’t enjoy this! Raffle tickets will be $5 each, to be drawn at our annual Holiday Fair this November. Come check them out today, along with all our other goodies (like our recently expanded selection of large print mysteries)…..1-4pm, 31 North Main Street in Orange.

The Parlor is open today, Monday, May 18th from 1pm-4pm! If you missed our big Plant and Tag Sale a couple weeks ago, you still have a chance at the plants our green thumbed ladies have nurtured into a pot just waiting for you! And of course, we always have a ton of $1 books and cds and dvds….clothes and housewares and well, just about everything! Come up and see us!

The Parlor will be closed again tomorrow, May 4th, as the electrical work is still ongoing and the power will be off. Fortunately, they took a break over the weekend so we could have our Annual Plant and Tag Sale, which was a big success, thanks to all of our friends and the efforts of our church family! We will certainly be open next Monday, 1-4pm, on the 11th, so please come see us then, and in the meantime…Happy (almost) Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there!
