The Catholic Bible Institute (CBI) is a three-year program that involves a comprehensive study of the Sacred Scriptures, with particular focus on methods of biblical study, sharing and praying with scripture, and application of skills in Bible-study leadership. YEAR ONE includes an introduction to the New Testament, with study of the four Gospels, Acts of the Apostles, Pauline Letters, Catholic Ep

istles, Book of Revelation, Non-canonical Writings, and New Testament Theology. YEAR TWO includes an overview of the Hebrew Scriptures, with study of the following texts: Pentateuch/Torah, Historical Books, Prophetic Writings, Wisdom Literature, Deutero-canonical Writings, and Hebrew Theology. YEAR THREE focuses on developing practical skills for working with small groups, with an emphasis on adult learning, facilitation skills, group process, Bible-study resources, and leadership training. The CBI will run a total of six semesters from Fall 2016 to Spring 2019. Sessions take place one Saturday each month, from 8:45 a.m. Joseph Center, 480 S. Batavia St., Orange, CA. Tuition is $195 per semester. Tuition assistance is available to qualified applicants. Schedules and tuition are subject to change. Please check the website for updates, www.bit.ly/CBI-Orange. The CBI is co-sponsored by the Loyola Institute for Spirituality and the Institute for Pastoral Ministry of the Diocese of Orange. Participants will receive recertification credit from the Diocese of Orange.
