This weekend, we officially kicked off Summer with Friends and ‘Lead the Way’, our summer initiative with focused on bringing hope, investing in the next generation, and making a lasting impact in our community.

All summer long, we’re inviting our church family to step in, show up, and be part of what God is doing through generosity and service. Every gift given and every hour volunteered will create opportunities for kids, students, and families across Orange County to experience hope and support.

As a church, we are passionate about being “in the city for the city” and we can’t wait to see what happens as we lead the way this summer.

Our Summer Internship is a hands-on experience for young adults ages 18–25 who want to make the most of their summer break. Interns will grow in leadership, discover more about their calling, and gain real ministry experience while serving alongside pastors, staff, and other young leaders.

No matter your passion, this internship is designed to help you grow personally, spiritually, and professionally — all while building friendships and making unforgettable memories.

What keeps you up at night? For Nehemiah, his biggest burden became his calling. As a church, we are asking God to break our hearts for what breaks his heart and to have the courage to respond in obedience. Join us this weekend as we continue in our teaching series on Nehemiah and take tangible steps to meet the needs of our community.

What a beautiful weekend at Friends 💕

We loved celebrating the moms, mother figures, and incredible women who shape our community with strength, wisdom, compassion, and faith. From generations worshipping together to moments of laughter, prayer, hugs, and celebration it was a reminder of just how special this church family is.

To every woman who leads, nurtures, encourages, serves, and shows up for others every single day: we are so grateful for you.

Mother’s Day at Friends 💐

Join us this weekend as we celebrate and honor the incredible moms, mom-figures, and women in our church and in our lives. Every woman in attendance will receive a special gift, plus we’ll have photo moments and a specialty soda bar for everyone to enjoy.

If you’re joining us Sunday, consider parking in the city parking structure on the corner of Chapman & Lemon to help make room for guests or join us Saturday night for easier parking.

Hey Friends! We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Friends Orange Team, Kenna Pettaway—better known around here as KP.

KP started this past week as Friends’ Community Life Associate, but he has already been faithfully investing in our students through the Youth Centers and Friends Students, building relationships and showing up for the next generation in meaningful ways. We’re excited for him to now step into leading Alpha, helping create spaces for honest conversations, deeper faith, and connection in our community.
