Last week, in Jan 2026, our Philoptochos members put together 100 TLC bags for the homeless. We shopped, assembled the bags (50 for males & 50 for females) & then delivered them to Columbus House in New Haven. This outreach project, which Renée Efthymiou came up with, has helped hundreds over the last few years since its inception. Our contact, Sheree, the Community Engagement Manager at Columbus House is always so grateful for our donations ❤️ and we are so very happy to help 🥰 With such frigid temps this winter, we’re hoping our TLC bags bring some joy to those who need it most & warms their hearts.

Happily Ever Floral…. Debi creates one-of-a-kind “forever” floral arrangements, home decor & ornaments using handcrafted, handpainted wood flowers made from the roots of the yucca & eucalyptus plants. No watering ever!

Woodland Hills Designs… Donna & her team sell farmhouse style & seasonal home decor, including wood block signs, ornaments & wall hangings.

Made by Mich… a CT based resin artist, Michelle makes functional resin products such as ocean-themed serving boards, coasters & trinket dishes.

Grey Arch Design… Lola is back, still making jewelry, only now she crafts one-of-a-kind pieces, made with vintage & up-cycled materials.

Gracious Gifts and Home… this is a one stop shop in Branford run by a mother/daughter team, Elaine & Zoe Johnson, who happen to be St Barbara parishioners. The shop sells unique gifts and items, many of which are crafted by local artisans & small family businesses.

Penelope’s of Greece… under the leadership of Pennie Decas, they have been selling beautiful collections at Greek festivals & agoras from coast to coast for 3 decades! The pieces include 14k & 18k gold crosses, sterling silver, religious icons, etc. Their items are artisan crafted in Greece.

We want to highlight our vendors for 2025’s Holiday Fantasy of Trees. The first 3 are:

Daisy-Bella… a 2nd time return vendor, Mary Ann’s company sells empowering lifestyle branded T’s, hoodies, sweatshirts & hats.

Designs by Debbie… Debbie handcrafts beaded jewelry, including bracelets, earrings, necklaces; all priced at just $5-$15.

Bo Tique… Vasi’s business is selling personalized gifts, some of which include wine glasses, coasters, cutting boards & baseball hats.
