🏈SET THE TONE🏈

Tonight, before the West Orange-Stark Mustangs took the field for their FIRST HOME GAME, Rev. Emanuel D. Echols stepped into the locker room to encourage our young men.

His message to the young men was to “SET THE TONE” drawing from 1 Timothy 4:12, Pastor Echols reminded the team that being young does not keep them from leading, making an impact, or setting an example.

He challenged them to decide BEFORE KICKOFF what kind of team they were going to be and to set the tone in three areas:
💪🏾 Their Effort — Give everything they have.
🤝🏾 How They Treat Their Teammates — Build each other up and move as one.
🔥 How They Respond — Control their response when things don’t go as planned.

The West Orange-Stark Mustangs defeated the Nederland Bulldogs 21–9 in their first home game of the season. We are grateful for opportunities like this to pour into our young people, speak life into them, and remind them that leadership starts long before the final whistle.

💧 27 BAPTIZED IN ONE POWERFUL AFTERNOON
Salem United Methodist Church in Orange took worship beyond the walls of the church, bringing families and community members together for a special outdoor baptism celebration.

Twenty-seven children and young people — ranging from less than one month old to 18 years old — were baptized during the fifth-Sunday gathering.

Today, heaven rejoiced as 27 of our young people went down in the water and came up NEW! 🙌🏾

This wasn’t just a baptism it was a public declaration of faith, a fresh beginning, and a powerful reminder that GOD IS STILL MOVING!

We witnessed young lives say YES to Jesus. We witnessed families celebrate. We witnessed the church come together. Most importantly, we witnessed the power of God at work.

The next generation is rising and READY!

To God be ALL the glory for the great things He has done! 🙏🏾❤️

We have nearly 30 candidates for baptism! What a blessing! And we’re going Old-School Tent Style!

Come worship with us on the lawn under the big tent this Sunday as we celebrate what God is doing in the lives of these candidates!

We will continue fellowshipping with a meal immediately following the service!
