Recently, Apostle Steve Tull and his wife Barb experienced a powerful move of God, not in a church or on a stage, but through years of simple, steady faithfulness in the workplace.
For Barb, her job has always been more than a job. Itās her mission field. Through authentic relationships, encouraging words, and stories from Sent Oneās International Ministries, sheās been quietly planting seeds and letting the light of Jesus shine in everyday moments.
Those seeds started bearing fruit.
Two passionate young adult leaders, Megara and Angel, invited Barb and Steve to connect with their Bible study group. After hosting them for dinner and sharing a session from the Hearing the Voice of God training manual, something clicked. The Spirit moved, and the connection deepened.
Soon after, Steve was invited to speak to the entire group.
The night of the gathering, Steve came prepared with a message about being intentional in your walk with God. But as he spoke, the Holy Spirit shifted the atmosphere. He began to share personal storiesāreal, raw, Spirit-led. One by one, those stories began to touch the hearts of those in the room.
Many said afterward, āIt felt like God was speaking directly to me.ā
That night ended in prayer, tears, and a renewed passion to live boldly for Christ, especially in the workplace. A few days later, Barb started hearing testimonies from coworkers who had attended. They were inspired, stirred, and grateful.
Then came one final request.
Before moving from Georgia, Megara asked if Apostle Steve would baptize her.
On May 18, surrounded by her family, friends, and Pastors Dave and Juanita Cox, Steve had the honor of baptizing Megara Sheppersonāmarking a beautiful, Spirit-led milestone that began in the ordinary moments of Barbās workplace ministry.
This story is a reminder: God doesnāt need a platform to moveāHe just needs willing hearts.
Your job, your classroom, your coffee shop conversationāit can all become holy ground.
Be available. God will do the rest.
