OUR NEXT CLUB MEETING IS
MAY 21st at 7:00 pm
We are thrilled to have speaker Mike Raabe who is an accomplished cinematographer, photographer and underwater specialist with over 15+ years of experience capturing compelling visual stories both on land and under the waves. Mike will be showing us his fantastic short film documentary "Ghost of the Pacific" which explores the elusive white sea bass of the California coast! Mike has shown his film throughout various venues in SoCal which was awarded for Film with Best Direction and Best Featured Film at the Environmental Film & Screenplay Festival in 2024. Come check it out!!

FISHING TACKLE SWAPMEET
Please feel free to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to place the tackle you would like to sell to other members on our swap table. Have your items clearly labeled with your name and your asking price. You can choose to keep the money or donate it to the club. All we ask is that you take any unsold items home with you at the end of the night.

Our 2026 FIB'ers meetings will not be held every month and the remaining meetings are scheduled as follows:

AUGUST 20th - (SPEAKER TBD)
OCTOBER 15TH - Speaker will be Nancy Caruso, Marine Biologist and Director and Founder of a non-profit organization called "Get Inspired" whose mission is to "inspire stewardship and curiosity for the natural world through the exploration of science and inspire freethinking, science minded stewards for our planet who make consious choices to protect and conserve it" either in a classroom environment or hands on in field programs. One of her biggest projects is the Orange County Ocean Restoration Project where she has taught 5000 students how to grow giant kelp in their classrooms which are later planted in barren areas along our coastline by approx. 250 trained volunteers. These areas are now thriving with giant kelp forests.
