There’s something so special about getting to pour into the next generation!

We are so thankful for Sylvia Carter and her heart for kids ministry! Hearing how God has used this ministry in her life is such an encouragement. From building relationships with kids to watching them grow in their faith, serving in kids ministry is about so much more than childcare, it’s about planting seeds that can impact eternity.

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, this is your sign to pray about it! There’s a place for you, and you never know how God might use your “yes.”

Has anyone else noticed?

Along with Pastor Paul ‘s “abundantly more” prayer this season (Eph 3:20-21) my prayer has been that Jesus increase and I/we decrease. John 3:30

I sat down to put into words just a few thoughts of praise and thanksgiving and my heart exploded. It is full, and celebrating so many things. And before you say “retirement,” 😂 that is a very small part of what I am speaking of. While not all of what I am celebrating is church-related I/we are seeing something very special play out before our very eyes and God receives ALL the Glory for it:

* I am celebrating a packed church on Sunday mornings (and many days of the week).

* I am celebrating so many baptisms and salvations I have lost count. Really!

* I am celebrating a church that has devoted a huge portion of its “backyard” to prayer in the form of a beautiful garden.

* I am celebrating the largest membership class HighPoint has seen in its history, (also kind of cool how many former pastors are choosing HighPoint this season along with some other amazing folks 😉) - See picture below (if you don’t care to count there’s 25 ppl in the pic:)

* I am celebrating growing family, children’s, youth & young adult ministries. Have you spoken to one of our students and/or young adults lately? (One of our active High Schoolers travels from Starke 2-3 x a week. 😮). They are on 🔥

* With our students headed to Jamaica this summer to serve at an orphanage I am celebrating a missions team that is alive to the Spirit of God serving in the community almost every week.

* In addition to meeting with visitors almost every week, I am celebrating a pastor who preaches and teaches the Word of God (even the most difficult passages) line by line, word by word.

* I am celebrating a church that has always sought to worship in “Spirit and in Truth.” John 4:23-24 (Proof? It is not my story to tell, but a dear, unassuming couple experienced a fresh wind and fire in HighPoint worship a few weeks ago… SHE had a physical healing. HE had a vision of God x2 (their words not mine).

* There’s so much more, but I’ll save that for May 24th & 31st worship. I hope you’ll join me as we celebrate not only the fact that GOD DID IT but GOD IS DOING IT🔥

DO NOT GET DISTRACTED FRIENDS!

I said it before and I’ll say it again, let us keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. THE ONE who is “the same yesterday, today and forever.” Heb. 12:2, 13:8.

Let’s continue to pray for our Lead Pastor, his family, our staff and their families. Let’s lock arms and err of the side of Grace. God is doing something very special at HighPoint and I am going to do everything I can to get my sinful, selfish butt out of the way so that He might increase and dare I say it? … Do even “exceedingly more!”
