Often times, when relationships are struggling or failing it, is because of pride. Both people are unwilling to humble themselves and admit they were wrong. Or they are simply unwilling to admit they need the other person. Pride says I don't need you. Pride says I can do this all on my own. Pride says I am worth more than how you are treating me.

But Pride is the enemy of love. A soft answer turns away wrath. Consider choosing to love people the way God loves you. They might not deserve your love, but give it to them anyway. Don't allow anything to get in between you and the people you have been called to love.

Are you grateful for this verse today? Isaiah 53:5 was on my heart when I woke up this morning. It is by His stripes that we are healed. Psalms 23 says He restores my soul.

I am so grateful for the healing that God has brought into my life. I was once a bruised and broken man. I was hurting and wounded emotionally and spiritually. My life has not been easy. But because Jesus Christ was beaten I can be healed.

Not only did He die for me, but He sits at the right hand of the Father interceding on my behalf as the True High priest.

Is there is no balm in Gilead?

Thank you Father, for bringing true and lasting healing into our lives. Thank you also for the Healing that is to come. We are blessed that you are Jehovah Rapha our Tender-hearted healer.

Do you believe this to be true?

I do. Some of the moments when I felt God's power on me were the moments when I was in the most pain. Jesus Christ responds to our tears, he hears our cries.

There is a difference between being a church girl and a Jesus girl. Jesus came to disrupt how church was being done. The Pharisees loved their laws and prided themselves on how much they knew. They were judgmental, harsh and ridicule Jesus.

Jesus was a misfit to them because he loved the outcast, he welcomed the lonely and sinners. Choose to be a girl that is about Jesus and follow his ways!

PRAYER: Father, help us to have hearts like Jesus full of compassion and love for our neighbor. We want to be more like you every day. Amen.
