THE MISSION OF GTC is to promote church reformation in Latin America through intense theological education and pastoral training, according to the biblical doctrines of grace and the historical legacy of the 16th century evangelical reformers. To God’s glory, GTC’s goal is to flood Latin America with thousands of properly trained indigenous reformed pastors. Each pastor has the capacity to reach h
undreds of people with the Gospel of Grace. Sacred Scripture is the only infallible and inerrant rule of faith and practice. USRL upholds the Westminster Confession of Faith, the London Confession of 1689, the Heidelberg Catechism, and other compatible reformed creeds. It adheres to the historical Doctrines of Grace (TULIP), and the SOLAS of the Reformation: Scripture Alone; Grace Alone; Faith Alone; Christ Alone; and to the Glory of God Alone. Two buildings comprise the center of learning for Universidad Seminario Reformado Latinoamerico (USRL). One is a conference center which can accommodate about 450 people. The other building is the headquarters for USRL. It is the home for 250 students and contains the dormitories, classrooms/conference rooms, three patios, two dining rooms, a large kitchen, laundry rooms, library, chapel and reception area. This location will become the epicenter for the Latin America reformation. A similar educational program is available in Florida, USA. USRL IS REGISTERED WITH THE FLORIDA STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION and is authorized to confer bachelor, master and doctoral degrees in theological and religious studies. Additionally, it is registered with the Colombian government from which it is also seeking accreditation. Degrees are primarily for ministerial and religious accreditation within the Church and not for secular purposes. Professors are nationally and internationally recognized for their teaching excellence, their publications, lectures, and dissertations. USRL’s strict standards and high level of education surpasses any accreditation. Over forty professors and pastors from distinguished Universities and Reformed Seminaries in the United States and other countries have agreed to teach intense one week courses at USRL. These professors donate their time as a way to contribute to the education of indigenous pastors. All of the professors who have gone to teach have expressed gratitude to GTC for the opportunity to serve the Kingdom of God in Latin America. They also shared the joy they experienced teaching such motivated and diligent seminarians. Professors were deeply encouraged to see pastors moved to tears as they understood for the first time the doctrines of grace. GTC offers this magnificent opportunity to professors who want to teach in USRL in Colombia. Simultaneous translation is provided if needed.
