To be powerful means to be equipped by the Holy Spirit to live victoriously, overcome the works of the enemy, boldly proclaim the Gospel, heal the sick and demonstrate the reality of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit gives us power not merely for personal experiences, but to fulfil God’s purpose and make an impact in the lives of others.

YOUR INHERITANCE IN CHRIST IS GREATER THAN YOU THINK

Many believers spend their lives asking God for what He has already provided, simply because they have never discovered the riches of their inheritance in Christ. The New Testament reveals that redemption is far more than the forgiveness of sins. Through Christ, believers have been brought into a new covenant where every spiritual blessing has already been secured. The challenge is no longer persuading God to give, but learning to receive by faith what He has already made available.

The Scriptures repeatedly declare, "In whom we have..."—not "we hope to have" or "we may someday receive." In Christ, we already possess redemption, righteousness, and a new standing before the Father. Our relationship with God is no longer built upon our own performance but upon the finished work of Jesus Christ. This truth gives the believer confidence to approach God, not as a servant trying to earn acceptance, but as a child who has been welcomed into His family.

Faith grows when we stop focusing on our weaknesses and begin focusing on what God has declared to be true about us. The more we meditate on our position in Christ, the more we become established in the realities of redemption. Fear gives way to confidence, condemnation is replaced with assurance, and uncertainty is overcome by the certainty of God's promises. Spiritual growth is the result of continually feeding on the truths of God's Word until they become the foundation of our daily lives.

The Christian life was never intended to be lived from a place of spiritual poverty. God has already provided an abundant inheritance for every believer through His Son. As we discover and embrace these covenant realities, we begin to live with boldness, gratitude, and unwavering confidence. We no longer see ourselves as people trying to reach God—we live as sons and daughters who have already been brought near through Jesus Christ.

Every believer has an inheritance in Christ, but only those who renew their minds with God's Word will fully enjoy it. The more we understand what belongs to us in Him, the more our lives reflect the victory, peace, and authority that Christ purchased through His finished work.

REDEMPTION IS MORE THAN A LEGAL DECLARATION—IT IS A NEW LIFE

Many believers understand redemption only from a legal perspective. They know that Christ paid the penalty for sin and that God has declared them forgiven. While this is gloriously true, redemption does not end with a change in our legal standing before God. It also brings a living transformation. The gospel is not merely about what God has done for us—it is equally about what He has done in us through the new birth.

Through the finished work of Christ, the believer receives far more than the cancellation of guilt. God imparts His own life and nature to those who are born again, making them members of His family. Redemption is therefore both legal and vital. Legally, our sins have been dealt with through Christ's sacrifice. Vitally, we have become new creations with the very life of God dwelling within us. These two truths cannot be separated without diminishing the fullness of the gospel.

When believers understand only the legal side of redemption, they often continue living as though nothing has changed except their eternal destination. But when they also embrace the vital side of redemption, they begin to see themselves as people who have been inwardly transformed. Their confidence no longer rests in human effort but in the life of Christ that now works within them. This realization changes how they pray, how they face temptation, and how they approach every challenge of life.

The Christian life is not sustained by striving to become someone God will accept. It flows from realizing that, in Christ, God has already given us a new identity and a new nature. Victory over sin, spiritual growth, and a fruitful walk with God become the natural outworking of His life within us rather than the product of self-effort.

The message of redemption is therefore far greater than forgiveness alone. It is God's invitation into a completely new life. As we grow in the knowledge of both the legal and the vital aspects of redemption, we learn to live not as people merely rescued from judgment, but as sons and daughters who share in the very life of their heavenly Father.
