Orange City GEMS

GEMS is a club for girls and young ladies from 3rd grade through 8th grade. It is much like girls scouts but with a religious background, teaching girls how to live a Christ centered life through everyday activities. Some of our activities include Bible study, crafts, praise and worship singing, outings (Pumpkinland!), community outreach and service projects (such as visiting residents at Landsmeer or free babysitting at The Bridge), and lots of other fun stuff. The idea is to mentor girls by example, teaching them that God wants us to enjoy His beautiful creation and use the talents He gave us to serve others in a way that also brings true joy to ourselves. The club is guided by the Christian Reformed churches in Orange City, but all girls in the Orange City area are invited to join regardless of faith.
