This summer, we’re putting a new twist on a classic game show: The Newlywed Game! During worship, we’ll have live contestants answering questions and testing their knowledge—not of their spouse, but of God. How well do we really know the heart of God? Through Scripture, laughter, and a little friendly competition, we’ll explore what God reveals about God’s character, desires, and love for humanity. Along the way, we may discover that knowing facts about God and knowing the heart of God are not always the same thing.
This Sunday, we begin with the theme of covenant. From the opening chapters of Genesis, we see a God who creates humanity for relationship and continually reaches out to people with love, purpose, and promise. What does God’s desire for covenant tell us about God’s heart? And if we are created in God’s image, what does it teach us about how we are called to pursue God and care for one another? Join us as we begin our journey of getting to know God.
