MS. ERNIE IS RETIRING!!!

After 48 faithful years of service to the Church (18 years at St. Joseph in Advance and 30 years at Guardian Angel), Ernestine Bueter is officially retiring! To give her a good “send-off” on her last day (which will be tomorrow, June 18th), we are inviting anybody and everybody to stop by and say hello and show gratitude to Ernie as she enters into a well-deserved retirement!

All are invited to stop by tomorrow from 1-3pm (behind the rectory, weather-permitting) to say hello to Ernestine and give her best-wishes! Refreshments will be provided!

CONSECRATION TO THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS THIS WEEKEND!

After all Masses at both Guardian Angel and St. Ambrose this weekend, Fr. Kelly will consecrate the parishes to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in union with the US Bishops, who will consecrate the country to the Sacred Heart on Thursday, June 11th, as a way of commemorating the 250th anniversary of our nation this year!

To “consecrate” means to dedicate, entrust, and set apart something or oneself for a sacred purpose. We offer this consecrate to dedicate and entrust ourselves more fully as parishes to the Sacred Heart, and implore Our Lord for His spiritual protection.

During the month of the Sacred Heart, in which we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart (this year it falls on this Friday, June 12th), it’s a prime opportunity for us to renew and increase our love for Our Lord’s Most Sacred Heart, which was pierced for our sins and out-poured Blood and Water on the Cross, signifying the Sacraments of Baptism and the Eucharist!

All are invited to participate in this consecrate as we entrust ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and ask for His blessings and graces as we seek to honor Him by a deepened devotion of our Christian lives!

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
Most Pure Heart of St. Joseph, pray for us!

We had a marvelous Corpus Christi procession yesterday! Thanks to all who helped and participated!

Glory be to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, truly present in the Most Blessed Sacrament!

On Sunday we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ! Following the 10:30am Mass we will have our annual Corpus Christi procession that will go out to the cemetery altars and conclude in church, with donuts and water to follow, sponsored by our parish council! (There will be donuts after the 7am Mass as well!).

All are invited to this grace-filled procession following Mass! Let’s all come and show our love and gratitude to our Eucharistic Lord!

June calendar and assignments

Class 2 of 2 of the classes on Beauty, Art, and Architecture will take place on Wednesday at St. Ambrose with 5:30pm Mass, a meal, and class to follow. Fr. Kelly will apply the principles of beauty to art, church architecture, sacred music, and the liturgy. All are invited to join!

During the month of June, the Church focuses on the beautiful and powerful devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus! The novena to the Sacred Heart begins Wednesday, June 3rd! The link to the novena can be found in the comments!

The Holy Father will lead the Rosary today at noon CDT, praying for peace in our world. All are invited to join him, if not at noon, then at any point during the day to pray the Rosary for the Holy Father’s intention! God bless you all!
