FBCO Co-Ed 4 Let us not give up the meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another -- Hebrews 10:25

Our Sunday School class meets on Sundays at 11:15 after serivices at First Baptist Church of Opelousas. We also meet away from church at what we call our "Eatin' Meetin.'" This page is for encouragment and thoughts on what we discuss in class and sermons from our pastor.

Johnny is driving his nephew Holden to Home of Grace today. He had gone willingly and wanting freedom. He is on probation and his PO wouldn't allow him unless it was court ordered. So we were able to get out court ordered. Not many people go to a judge "begging" to be court ordered. Please keep him in prayer!
This is Johnny's oldest brother's son .

Please pray for a high school friend of mine. He is really sick mentally. I reached out to him today to speak with him about some of his posts about end times that he was infatuated with but has mixed biblical prophesy with crazy matrix stuff. He is held up inside his business. Please pray he gets out alive. I have msg'd with him while this has been going on.

In light of the conversation that Johnny told me happened on Sunday I HIGHLY recommend that the lesson for this Sunday is studied before you come to class.

Someone made a large donation: 10 toothpaste, 24 toothbrushes, 28 bars of soap, 10 cans of shaving cream, 36 razors, 36 washcloths, 29 pairs of socks!
If you are wanting to give you can help fill in the blanks of giving to 27 men. We could used 17 toothpastes, 17 cans of shaving cream, maybe double the razors (3 packs of 12 will double), and undershirts, deodorant, cologne and other things could still be used. We are gonna buy some plastic shoeboxes so that each man will receive a present. Kind like Operation Christmas child. If you don't have time to shop and would like to donate to the present, I'm thinking $10 will give one man a gift. If you want to contribute that way, I need to have the money by Wednesday to go shipping.

Thursday evening my family and another family will be with the men at the Lighthouse Mission here in Opelousas. I am asking anyone who would like to help us surprise the men with baskets full of good things they need. Razors, toothbrushes, knit hats, gloves, whatever you think you would like to give. Any monetary gifts will be given to the director. Donations can be brought to Savoy Glass Co. Or call me and I can pick it up. This is the same place that I have linked a video to my page. Please watch it and see the amazing things God is doing!
Other ideas:
Shaving cream, undershirts (any sizes) deodorant, gently used clothes, soap, wash cloths, cologne, blankets, etc
