This week is Holy Week! We will have special services which commemorate key points on the road to the cross and the empty tomb.

First, we will celebrate Maundy Thursday at 7pm on Thursday at the church building. We will celebrate the Eucharist one last time as we remember the last supper that Jesus shared with his disciples in the upper room. We will also have foot washing to remember Jesus' call to servant leadership.

On Good Friday at noon, one of our parishioners will lead a Stations of the Cross meditation at the church building. Stations of the Cross is a tradition that dates back to the early medieval church and grew in popularity as it became more difficult to go on pilgrimages to Jerusalem to walk the Way of Sorrows.

At 7pm on Good Friday, we will remember the death and burial of Our Lord. We will receive pre-consecrated bread as a continued participation in the Maundy Thursday Eucharist. We will pray one of the oldest forms of the prayers of the people, known as the Solemn Collects. This is the most somber liturgy of the Church calendar.

On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the empty tomb and Christ's resurrection from the dead at our regularly scheduled Sunday morning service (11am)! After service on Sunday we will have an Easter feast with food brought by parishioners and open to all who have celebrated the Lord's resurrection with us in Church.

As a reminder, Ash Wednesday Services will be at 08:30 am (with Eucharist) and 12:00 pm (without Eucharist). We hope to see you then!
