Our men’s and women’s gatherings were a great time of fellowship and a chance to step away from the everyday and simply enjoy being together.

We’re especially grateful to have had Ivan Filby with us for both gatherings. Ivan has continued to invest in and support our church family, and we’re thankful for the way he pours into the men and women of First Methodist Opelika.

During College Gathering this week, David Thomas reminded our students that so much will change throughout their lives. Their education, careers, relationships, and many other areas will continue to grow and develop. But of all the areas they can invest in, their prayer life is the most important.

A few weeks ago, our church family gathered to celebrate with those who decided to publicly declare their faith in Jesus through baptism. Each baptism represented a unique story of God’s work, and it was a joy to witness these moments together.

Every Sunday, First Opelika Kids gathers for Grow Together groups at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. where they have the opportunity to build friendships, learn from God’s Word and grow in their faith.
