Good morning everyone! Today is Wednesday and that means two important things happen today. First, at noon, folks will be gathering at the church to pray. This prayer meeting happens every Wednesday and everyone is welcome to join in this time of prayer and intercession with a particular focus today on Pastor Vance and the McCollum family as Pastor continues on the road to complete recovery.
The second thing I want to remind you about is Wednesday Night Light, our weekly Bible study for all ages. Please join us tonight at 6:30 PM as we follow the Lord's command to "forsake not the assembling of yourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." As we see turmoil increasing in our world we need each other as much as in any time in history.

Special Update/Praise Report on Pastor Vance:
His doctor came in today to assess and to discuss with the family the plans moving forward. When he entered the room he looked at the charts, looked at Pastor Vance, looked at the charts, looked at Pastor Vance, repeated this sequence several times before addressing Pastor and his family. When he spoke he expressed that he had no medical explanation for how well Pastor is doing.
He praised the family for swift and appropriate action but even with that intervention he said "you must have a lot of people praying for you. I should not be seeing what I'm seeing." From the standpoint of the experts it's not possible that Pastor Vance is doing as well as he is. But, "since when has impossible ever stopped You?"
Please continue to send up prayers on behalf of Pastor Vance and the family, they are working. The doctors will continue to monitor and treat as they know how and God will continue to move according to His ultimate plan.
And, who knows if the purpose of this is to be a witness of God's divine will, providence, and miracle working power!! Let revival break out in a greater way and let it start in each of us!!

Habakkuk 1:5 Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvelously: for I will work a work in your days which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

Tuesday Update: I apologize for the late posting of this update, I typed it and thought I had posted it but apparently did not do everything correctly.
As of this morning they had removed Pastor Vance's breathing tube and he is doing GREAT! Praise God for His blessings.
He is still in ICU so only immediate family can visit him. As you can imagine, the family is receiving numerous calls and texts and can't respond to each of them so please contact Connie Gulley with any questions, well wishes, or concerns and she can pass those along. 334-332-9913

Update on Pastor Vance as of 5:30 PM June 22. They performed a CT scan and it is not showing any damage, thank the Lord. They have determined he did not have a heart attack, but they’re trying to determine exactly what happened. He is resting, and they are still only allowing immediate family to visit him. If you come to the hospital, please come to the visiting area on the first floor rather than going to ICU as they will not allow you to see him anyway.
The church will be open by 6:15 for anyone who wants to gather to pray. We also know that there is no distance to God so if you don’t come to the church to pray, please just pray where you are.

Dear Church Family,
Pastor Vance suffered a cardiac event in the night last night and is currently in the ICU at EAMC. Please lift him and his family up in prayer as they navigate through this uncertain time. The church will be open from 6:30-7:30 pm for anyone who would like to gather to pray as a group.
Please understand that the family covets your prayers and will be relaying updates through this page and Connie Gulley will be fielding calls for them for the time being. Her number is 334-332-9913. You are welcome to go to the ICU waiting room (1st floor, past the elevators if you enter the main entrance) but only immediate family are being allowed in to see him.
The family currently does not need any food, drinks, etc., only intercessory prayer. Let's band together in prayer for our pastor as he does for each of us so often.
