Hopewell Cemetery Association Beauregard HCA is dedicated to the preservation of Hopewell Cemetery as a beautiful place of comfort and peace.

The purpose of the Hopewell Cemetery Association is to care for and maintain the Hopewell Cemetery and to provide a place where respect and devotion may be given those interred there. Additionally the Association seeks to foster communication and cooperation between the families of those interred and the Association.

This Hopewell Cemetery is in Lee County, Alabama. We cannot help with problems at other Hopewell Cemeteries, though we may be sympathetic to your situation.

Saturday, March 26, at approximately 10:00 (following the Cemetery Board Meeting). Hopewell Cemetery Workday to remove grass from atop gravestones and edge around the markers. Bring yard tools and work for whatever length time you can. We look forward to seeing you. Please make sure that we get your contact information and reason for interest in the cemetery before you leave.

A big thank you to the 12 hard-working friends of Hopewell Cemetery who came out and worked hard this morning. Edging, digging up weeds, trimming up scraggly trees, cleaning stones, identifying property lines, moving dirt were the main tasks worked on. And the fellowship was an added bonus.
There is much yet to be done, so there will be additional opportunities for more folks to join in. Watch this page for future announcements!

When the weather is cooler, we will plan a work day at the cemetery to clear grass and weeds from around the gravestones and do other maintenance work. Watch this page for information as to date and time.
If you have relatives or friends buried here, we especially invite you to make a visit. We also are hoping to get information on as many of those buried here as possible and invite you to share their information and history with us.

The Covid 19 pandemic slowed down the Association's work with the cemetery, but we hope to be back in full force by the fall. The cemetery continued to be monitored and maintained regularly. As plans for the remainder of 2021 and for 2022 develop, we will keep you posted on this page. We invite your comments, information about family/friends buried here, and questions.
