That’s a wrap on the 2026 Alabama-West Florida Annual Conference in Pensacola!

Foundry was incredibly well represented, both in delegates and leadership throughout the conference. Special thanks to Stephanie Jeck, David Couch, Maci Higgins, Charles Mason, and Elizabeth Mason who served as lay delegates to Annual Conference.

We’ll share more highlights and information in tomorrow’s newsletter. For now, we’re celebrating one piece of good news: with the fixing of appointments at the close of conference, Bishop Jonathan Holston has reappointed Rev. Patrick Hitchman-Craig to Foundry for another year of ministry.

The best is yet to come!

On Monday afternoon delegates from Foundry and Magnolia UMC (Gulf Shores) were prayed over and celebrated for being the first two new church starts in the Alabama-West Florida Conference to receive their charter!

At our May meeting, Foundry’s Leadership Board approved the creation of a new staff position. We are so excited to share that Nicole Roberts is joining our team as our Director of Community Life. 🙌

This morning, Foundry was awarded a $1,000 grant from the Alabama-West Florida Conference UMC to support the work of the Foundry Free Pantry. In all, the Conference gave away $37,000 in grants to support various feeding ministries in local churches across our conference.

On Sunday, June 7 we are kicking off a new teaching series: Summer in the Psalms.

We will distribute a Psalm reading plan for the summer, encouraging everyone to spend their summer in the psalms. But if you want to dig even deeper, here are a couple of books we recommend.
