Sermon Title: “Changing Seasons of Life”

Speaker: Fidel Arnecillo

There is only one life with changing seasons to live for each of us. Each season comes with its own challenges, and each stage has its own distinct set of sources of enjoyment. As a child, one enjoys the simple act of playing with a toy. As a teenager, one does cool things with peers. But as one gets older, life becomes much more complicated. In old age, one sees the nearing culmination of all that life has to offer. As Christians, we ought to learn to appreciate the beauty in each season of life amidst its uncertainties and fragilities. We courageously live with the God who promises that all things will be made right at the proper time. We are called to enjoy the ride.

Sermon Title: “Against Empty Religiosity”

Most exhibitions of religiosity are empty. The Bible clearly teaches that God dislikes, or even hates, empty religiosities. Our religious behaviors are supposed to reflect an authentic commitment to the things that matter to God. However, it is often the case that people who profess to follow God do not really care about the things that truly matter to God.
