Join us this Wednesday as we dig into step 9: Reconciliation.

Scripture places a high value on reconciliation, unity, and caring for the relationships God has placed in our lives. We were never meant to walk out our faith alone. Part of the beauty of Christian community is our ability to encourage one another, challenge one another in love, offer support in difficult seasons, and help each other grow in our relationship with Christ.

Paul reminds us to “encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). Likewise, Romans 12:18 gives us an important perspective on reconciliation: “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” This reminds us that we are called to pursue peace, but it also acknowledges that reconciliation is not always completely within our control.

Healthy reconciliation does not mean ignoring hurt, removing necessary boundaries, or returning every relationship to what it once was. Scripture calls us to forgiveness and peace, but it also calls us to wisdom, truth, accountability, and discernment. Sometimes reconciliation means rebuilding a relationship; other times, it may mean releasing bitterness while maintaining healthy boundaries.

Together, we will explore what healthy, biblical reconciliation looks like—learning how to pursue restoration when it is wise and possible, how to recognize when boundaries are necessary, and how to move forward with grace when restoring a relationship is not healthy or appropriate.

Our goal is not simply to preserve relationships at all costs, but to learn how to approach them in a way that reflects the truth, grace, wisdom, and love of Christ.

For years, we’ve used the word recovery to describe what happens on Wednesday nights. But recently, we’ve felt God calling us to use a different word: restoration.

On the surface, it may not seem like a significant change. But to us, it represents the very heart of this ministry.

Wednesday nights aren’t simply about recovering from something we’ve lost, breaking a habit, or fixing what’s broken. They’re about having our hearts restored to Jesus.

The truth is, we are all constantly falling short. We are called to a life of repentance and sanctification—a lifelong process of becoming more like Christ. And we walk through that process together.

We begin by acknowledging that we are powerless to save or change ourselves. But we also recognize that we have hope in Jesus Christ. Because of that hope, we can honestly face our shortcomings, take responsibility for the ways we’ve hurt others, make amends, and begin walking in freedom.

Again and again, this process reminds us of one simple truth: we need a Savior.

We need Jesus, not just once, but every single day.

Wednesday nights are a place where we can pour our hearts out before Jesus, be honest about where we are, and experience the grace that allows us to live restored lives.

Maybe restoration means breaking free from a destructive habit. Maybe it means creating new rhythms of prayer, Scripture, worship, or other spiritual disciplines. Maybe it means repairing a relationship, learning accountability, or simply taking the next faithful step.

Whatever area of life you’re walking through, Wednesday nights are a place where accountability lives.

It’s a place where we don’t have to pretend we have it all together. We come as we are, pursue Jesus together, and help one another take the next step toward restoration.

And then, as we experience the hope and healing that only Jesus can provide, we turn around and bring someone else with us.

Because restoration was never meant to stop with us.
