📣📣 Join GOHS next TUESDAY, JUNE 30, at 6pm, for the unveiling of the Riverside Cemetery NYS historical marker!

🪧 The Riverside Cemetery historical marker commemorates the historic Cemetery behind the First Presbyterian Church (296 Main Street), established circa 1805. *The marker will stand near the roadside on Main Street.

🚶🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ And be sure to stick around immediately following the unveiling for a Walking Tour of the Cemetery, led by GOHS Trustees Frank Antonucci, Bob Brzozowski, and Art Torrey!!

🪦 Riverside Cemetery covers seven acres and contains the graves of many of Oneonta’s prominent families, early founders and settlers, and war veterans, including some from the Revolutionary War.

🆓 This event is free and open to the press and public. The Walking Tour is by donation and reservations are not required. *Please be advised, terrain for this tour may be difficult.
👏🏻 GOHS thanks the City of Oneonta and their Department of Public Works for their support and marker funders the William G. Pomeroy Foundation for helping to preserve Oneonta’s rich history!

Volunteer Opportunity! The Outreach committee is looking for volunteers to serve a meal at Your Safe Haven (formerly The Lords Table) on a day in March. If you are interested in joining us, there is an interest sign-up sheet in the social hall of the church, or let us know by leaving a message or contacting the church with your day/s of the week preference. We hope you will consider this outreach opportunity!
