Imagine every church in our county — different denominations, different songs, one united purpose — lifting a single, powerful evening of worship together. Join us for Unite Night: an evening of unified praise, prayer, and preparation as we set our hearts and hands toward next year’s United Fest.

☝️What this night is:
- A single, sanctuary-level worship service hosted by rotating congregations across the county.
- Modern Ecumenical Worship: Scripture-centered preaching, multi-denominational worship teams, corporate prayer, and testimonies that honor diverse expressions of faith.
- A sacred, focused time to seek God’s direction for United Fest — asking for favor, provision, volunteers, and a spirit of unity that will carry into the event and beyond.

☝️Why this matters:
- Unity demonstrates the Gospel: When churches worship together, our community sees a tangible witness of Christ’s reconciling power.
- Prayer aligns purpose: Preparing in prayer creates spiritual momentum and clarity for the vision and mission we share as kingdom workers.
- Strength in collaboration: Shared resources, shared volunteers, and shared strategy make United Fest more effective, more welcoming, and more sustainable.

☝️Who should come:
- Pastors, worship leaders, ministry volunteers, outreach coordinators — and every congregant who longs to see our county transformed by Jesus.
- Leaders who will serve at United Fest and those discerning how to get involved.

☝️What to expect:

As Christians, we will encounter people whose lifestyles and choices conflict with our biblical convictions. The question is not whether we should love them—but how do we show love while remaining faithful to God’s Word?

In 1 Corinthians 5:12–13, Paul makes an important distinction between those inside the church and those outside it. The church has a responsibility to address sin within its own fellowship, while recognizing that God is the Judge of those outside the church.

As we enter a season of holidays, family gatherings, and difficult conversations, we must learn to navigate these relationships with both GRACE and TRUTH.

Here are five biblical principles to remember:
-Love the PERSON without endorsing the sin.
-Communicate LOVE without communicating APPROVAL.
-Keep REACHING them without turning every conversation into a SERMON.
-Keep the door of RELATIONSHIP open without removing the boundaries of your CONVICTIONS.
-Never underestimate the POWER of PRAYER. You may not be able to change someone's heart, but you can faithfully pray for God to work in their life.

Jesus demonstrated compassion without compromising truth. He extended grace to sinners while calling them to repentance. We are called to follow that same example.

Biblical love is not choosing between grace and truth. It is learning to demonstrate both.

You can love someone without approving every choice they make. You can stand firm in your convictions without becoming argumentative or unkind. And you can maintain healthy boundaries while continuing to pray for repentance, restoration, and transformation.

Remember: Your assignment is to be a witness, not to win every argument.

Let your life demonstrate the love of Christ, let God's Word remain your authority, and never stop praying for the people you love.

“The SIN you tolerate will eventually spread—and what you refuse to confront today can become what DESTROYS you tomorrow.”

In biblical times, leaven was used to make dough rise. A small amount of leaven would work its way through the entire batch. Paul uses this illustration to show how sin, when tolerated within the church, can influence others and compromise the spiritual health of the congregation.

The Corinthian church was tolerating serious sexual immorality rather than confronting it. Their failure to address the sin threatened more than the individual involved; it also threatened the church's spiritual integrity.

When a church continually tolerates what God condemns, it risks losing its ability to discern between what is holy and what is unholy. Over time, sin that once caused concern can become accepted, normalized, and even defended.

Paul warns that unchecked sin can produce consequences far greater than the church initially recognizes.

1 Corinthians 5:7–8 calls the church to remove the old leaven and celebrate with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Church discipline, therefore, is not about being judgmental, harsh, or self-righteous. It is about taking sin seriously, protecting the spiritual health of the body, and pursuing repentance and restoration in accordance with God's Word.

Paul's message is clear: the church cannot celebrate Christ's sacrifice while carelessly tolerating the very things that contradict the life He calls us to live.

CU MISSIONS...
Short-term missions give us an opportunity to step outside our everyday lives, serve others, build relationships, and share the love of Christ across cultures. Whether you go, pray, volunteer, or sponsor someone to serve, you become part of something bigger than yourself. Your time, resources, and willingness can make an eternal impact—not only in the lives of those we serve, but also in our own lives as God uses missions to grow our faith, compassion, and understanding of His heart for the nations.

Go. Give. Make a difference. 🌎❤️ Whether you volunteer your time or sponsor someone who can go, your investment helps share Christ’s love and bring hope to communities around the world

When the church tolerates what God condemns, it reveals how far its DISCERNMENT has drifted from His truth.

In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul confronts a church that had become so influenced by its culture that it was tolerating blatant sin instead of addressing it with biblical truth.

The problem wasn’t just the sin itself—it was the church’s response to it. Rather than grieving over what dishonored God, they had become proud of their tolerance.

Church, we are called to be SALT and LIGHT, not to blend into the culture around us. Biblical love does not ignore sin, and grace is never an excuse to embrace what God condemns.

Paul reminds us that a little leaven leavens the whole lump. What we tolerate today can spread tomorrow if left unaddressed.

The goal of church discipline is always REPENTANCE and RESTORATION. Not condemnation for condemnation’s sake, but a genuine desire to see people turn from sin and return to God.

May we never become so comfortable with the culture that we lose our discernment of God’s truth. May we have the courage to stand on His Word, the compassion to pursue restoration, and the wisdom to recognize that what God calls us to confront, we cannot afford to ignore.

'Church Gone Wild: Confronting Immorality In The Church'
By Pastor Elisha St James

So what happens when the Church tolerates what God condemns?

In 1 Corinthians 5, Paul confronts a church that had become so influenced by its culture that it was tolerating what God had called sin.

The problem wasn't just the sin itself—it was the church's response to it.

In this week's message, Church Gone Wild: Confronting Immorality in the Church, we explore what it means to stand firmly on God's Word while still loving people with grace and compassion.

Tune in for an in-depth, verse-by-verse, line-by-line approach of the Book of 1 Corinthians. We will discuss its author and the historical context surrounding it. Each week, we’ll dive into the book's message and purpose. We will also explore how 1 Corinthians contributes to the Bible: enhancing the understanding of Christian life and relationships, providing solutions to issues caused by sin.

And that simple solution lies in living Christ-centered lives under His lordship.
