We have started working on our Easter musical. It is entitled Jesus Saves. It is a simple yet really pretty cantata. Everyone is invited to come out and sing with us. We have plenty of time to practice and it's fairly simple. It shouldn't be that hard, but I know you will have a good time as we practice and get ready. Whether you are young, young-at-heart, youth wanna be, or just like to sing, come out and join us on Sunday nights before Sunday evening service. I guarantee, you'll be glad you did. You will have a good time and be blessed!

The Children will have Christmas play practice tomorrow night, 12/19/2019 (Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. We still need angels, shepherds, and wise men. If you or your children want to be in the Christmas play but haven't been there yet, you can still be in it. Just come to practice tomorrow. It's really easy with hardly any speaking parts. But we need everyone there so they will know where to go and what to do. See you then!

This year the Youth, Young-at-Heart, Youth Wanna Be, Christmas choir is doing a simple short cantata entitled Come Let Us Adore. It is a Simple Series, which means it is only a unison/2-part simple arrangement. There are several familiar songs in it so there are not a lot of new songs to learn. We invite anyone and everyone that would like to sing to come sing with us. Even if you don't know for sure and just think you might like to try, come be with us! We have a lot of fun and it's not a hard cantata at all.

We will practice Sunday nights before church (5 p.m.) unless otherwise notified, and additional practices as it gets closer.

COME JOIN US--YOU'LL HAVE A LOT OF FUN, AND WE'LL SOUND A LOT BETTER! THE MORE THE MERRIER!!!

Sunday at the Mother's Day lunch my Mom lost her car keys. She laid them down on the table beside Grandma Cotton (Eunice Cotton). When she started to leave, they were not there. We don't know if they were thrown away with the tablecloths or picked up by someone by mistake or what. If anyone remembers seeing them or has any extra keys they don't know where they came from, please contact me. You can call or text me at 663-7583 or call me at 569-8128 or 628-2121 x3270. Thanks so much!

Paint Rock Baptist Easter Choir needs to have a couple of practices either this weekend and/or next week. Be thinking and let me know what is best for everyone.

The kids will be practicing for the Easter Program Sunday morning during little church. This will be one of the last practices they will have until the performance. If your child/grandchild is going to be in it, they need to be there Sunday morning. We need everyone there to be able to know where everyone goes and what they do. If they absolutely cannot be there, let me know and we will see what we can do. We will also have 1-2 practices during the week (April 14-20), one of which will be a dress rehearsal.

If there are any adults that would like to help with costume dressing, corralling the kids, helping with setup, etc., I would be more than happy to put you to work! Both during practices and the performance.

I cannot stress enough that everyone needs to be there Sunday morning, especially if they have not been there recently or very much.

Thank you!

For our cantata this Easter, we need several narrators. They are Biblical people speaking, telling their story from their perspective. Peter, Mary and Martha, James, John, etc. It is usually just one part per person and they do not have to be memorized. You can use the book, but I would like them to dress in character. It will have much more effect. So be thinking if you would like to narrate one of these parts. You can still sing; you would just do the speaking part from the choir. However, it wouldn't have to be a choir member. It could be a young adult or an adult from the audience. They would just come up and say their part and probably set on the front row.

Let me know if you are interested in one of these parts. It will be fun!
