ONE SIX EIGHT Network

A network of reproducing disciples and missional communities that seeks to saturate Omaha ONE SIX EIGHT is more than an hour on Sunday.

It’s about living out our identity in Jesus 168 hours a week as a family on mission for Jesus. We live as missionaries in our community and meet in homes through the week hoping to help everyone experience the love of Jesus. We gather on Sundays at 10am at 153rd and Q for equipping, worship, and celebration. Come and park on the Southside of the Cobalt Bank building! We have classes for Birth - 9th grade on Sunday mornings that your kids will love!

As a network we will incorporate a sabbath once a quarter in our regular rhythm.

What is it? Sabbath can be described as ‘deliberate disengagement’ from our normal world to remind ourselves that Jesus is the Lord of our lives, our work and our world. But it is also ‘deliberate engagement’ in the gifts and presence of God.

To fully experience a sabbath, it takes planning ahead and purposeful engagement.

It’s safe to say we have ALL been in a Nineveh or Tarshish situation.

“Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.” But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the Lord.” ‭‭

You might be afraid to go where God commands you to go, or too scared to speak should your words fall on deaf ears and or lead you to be persecuted.

Put your trust in Him. Tell Nineveh about God’s love.

We are a collection of missional
communities of people surrendered to
Jesus, pursuing their God-given calling, and co-laboring with the Holy Spirit to see kingdom mission and restoration on earth as it is in heaven.

Our desire is to INSPIRE people to
surrender all their lives to Jesus and His
cause; CONNECT individuals into
missional communities; EMPOWER
communities to discover and obey their God given mission; and ENGAGE every kind of evil in our city with prayerful action.

Our focus this month is on worship, which is really moving from unbelief to belief in our dailylives. Our focus verses are from Romans 12:1-2.

Our collective ‘I Will’ statement this month is: I will take 5-10 minutes every day to pray for my Five (list of unsaved friends), our missional community members and for One Six Eight.

You may have noticed in the most recent email, our Christmas Eve Eve Gathering was said to be on December 22nd.

It was a friendly typo and our Christmas EVE EVE Candlelight Gathering will in fact be held on December 23rd at 7PM.

Join us as we celebrate the birth of Jesus!

We had an amazing turnout for our Thanksgiving Feast this past Sunday. A room crowded with people who love Jesus, making great conversation, sharing laughter, stories and a delicious meal.
