The Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church pauses to honor the life and ministry of Pastor Kenneth A. Allen, Sr.

Some voices leave an echo long after the message has been preached. Pastor Allen’s voice, faith, and years of service have left a lasting impression upon the hearts of those who were blessed to know him and receive the Word through his ministry. We remain grateful for every occasion he stood among us at Greater New Hope and shared the Gospel with conviction and power.

Although our hearts are saddened by his passing, we grieve with the hope and assurance that a faithful servant has finished his course and entered into eternal rest.

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
—2 Timothy 4:7 KJV

To First Lady Sandra Allen, the Allen family, and the Zion Baptist Church family: May the God whom Pastor Allen faithfully proclaimed now hold you close, strengthen you through every difficult moment, and fill your hearts with the peace that only He can give. His earthly voice may now be still, but the Word he preached and the lives he touched will continue to speak.

🎶 MEMORIAL CHOIR INVITATION 🎶

As we remember Reverend Kenneth A. Allen, Sr. and the times he stood among us at Greater New Hope proclaiming the Word of God, we join the Omaha faith community in honoring his life, ministry, and legacy.

Pastor Allen was a kind man with a powerful preaching presence who was well loved throughout our community. His ministry touched countless lives, and we are grateful for every opportunity we had to welcome him to Greater New Hope.

A combined Memorial Choir will minister at both the viewing and funeral service. Singers from Greater New Hope, neighboring churches, and throughout the community are warmly invited to participate.

🌱 TUESDAY’S SEED OF HOPE
WHY I MADE IT OUT — DAY TWO

BECAUSE I BELIEVED IN GOD’S SON

📖 1 John 5:5 (NIV)
“Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”

📖 1 John 5:5 (MSG)
“The person who wins out over the world’s ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God.”

I didn’t make it out merely because I believed that things would eventually get better. I made it out because my faith was anchored in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Positive thinking could not save me.
My own strength could not sustain me.
People could not always rescue me.
But I believed in the One who has power over everything I faced.

There were moments when I didn’t understand what God was doing. There were times when fear, pain and uncertainty challenged my faith. But somewhere beneath it all, I still believed that Jesus was who He said He was—and that He had not lost control of my life.

My circumstances tried to convince me that I was defeated, but my faith reminded me that I belonged to the One who had already overcome the world.

I made it out because I believed—not simply in a better outcome, but in God’s Son.

🙏🏽 Prayer:
Father, strengthen my faith in Your Son. When circumstances challenge what I believe, help me remain anchored in Jesus. Thank You that my victory does not depend upon my own strength, but upon the One in whom I have placed my trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌱 Today’s Seed:
I did not overcome because I believed in myself. I overcame because I believed in Jesus.
