St. Stanislaus Catholic Church

St. Stanislaus Catholic Church St. Stanislaus Catholic Church was founded in 1919 by Polish immigrants who settled in South Omaha. Witamy! Our pastor is Fr. William Safranek. Bridget/Rose and St.

Stanislaus parish, founded in 1919 by immigrants from Poland who settled in South Omaha, is fundamentally Catholic and respectful of its Polish roots. Our beloved school was closed in 2013, graduating its 88th and final class of eighth-graders. However, we continue to worship together as a parish with members in all generations of life, from our newly-baptized babies, RCIA for adults, and the Gold

en Hill Gems senior organization. We invite you to join us for weekend Masses at 5:00pm Saturday and 8:00am Sunday. All Masses are in English with some hymns in Polish at the weekend Masses. On July 1, 2023 we join Sts. Francis of Assisi in a new Family of Parishes group that soon will include Our Lady of Fatima Vietnamese parish.

A former parishioner and student at St. Stanislaus School, Fr. Flott currently is retired from active ministry and is in residence at Holy Ghost Church, but continues to assist at parishes throughout the area and at the annual Memorial Day Mass at St. John's Cemetery.

Happy birthday, Fr. Flott, and we thank you for your many years of priestly ministry!

On Wed May 13, 2026, the Golden Gems meeting was held before its usual break until fall. Before the meeting, members gathered at St. Stanislaus Church and held a May Crowning ceremony where Fr Safranek held Mass following the May Crowning.

Back at the hall, the gathering was attended by 40 members who enjoyed food from Eddie’s Catering with donuts and other desserts, many of which were provided by Dunkin Donuts.
Besides the usual Calcutta and door prizes, the spring raffle drawing for eight gift baskets was held prior to eating the delicious food and desserts.

A new two-year term Board of Directors was nominated and approved at this gathering: President Ann Marie Kudlacz, Vice President Carol Wierzbicki, Secretary Joan Wrobleski, Treasurer Jeff Messinne. Their term will run from Sep 2026-May 2028. The Gems members gave a warm applause to the outgoing Board of Directors for the hard work they performed for the past two years. Thank you and God bless: Diane Rochford, Mary Beth Kaup, Elaine Noonan and Sharon Balis.

Come join the Golden Gems when the gatherings resume in September 2026.
