Presbyterian Church of the Master

Presbyterian Church of the Master Welcome to Presbyterian Church of the Master in Omaha, Nebraska. We are a congregation of faithful Christians, committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ

Presbyterian Church of the Master (PCM) is a gathering of God's people whose mission is to proclaim the Good News of God's love, to celebrate that love, and demonstrate that love to the world. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church USA, within the boundaries of the Synod of Lakes and Prairies and Missouri Valley Presbytery. We worship and work together with joy here at PCM. We invite yo

u to ask us about our faith, our mission and our life of ministry. PCM is a contemporary church community with a friendly, casual atmosphere and serious approach to spirituality. All are welcome. Children are a valued part of our worship service. Childcare is provided for babies and toddlers in the nursery. Our facility is flexible and accommodates anyone with special needs. We celebrate Communion the second Sunday of every month and everyone who puts their faith in Christ is welcome at the Lord’s table.

Sabbath means STOP! In worship this past Sunday, we were encouraged to heed God's commandment to rest and to be renewed. In our Sabbath moments, we also are able to use our senses to EXPERIENCE the beauty and wonder of creation; to ACKNOWLEDGE the awesome power of the One God, Creator of all things; and to GIVE THANKS for the blessed gift of being able to admire all that God has accomplished in the work of creation.

As you go through this week, we hope you'll review these slides, which were shared during Sunday's message.

During our message this past Sunday, we learned from the Desert Mothers and Fathers the value of practicing Stillness, Solitude, Silence, and Service. These practices help us to follow the example of Jesus, who models a rhythm of continual oscillation between the Interior Life and the Exterior Life. If you need to take a closer look or to refresh your memory, please review these slides, which were shared during Sunday's message.

(Post 2 of 2) For our ritual action this week, we are each invited to convert a value into a spiritual practice. If you worship with us online, if you did not receive a paper when exiting the sanctuary during in-person worship, or if you simply would like to focus on a different value and practice from the ones you selected, we invite you to choose one of these twenty values and exercise the accompanying practice throughout this week.
