The Ashtanga Yoga System as Sadhana
Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya
Video Premiere: Tuesday, September 6, 7pm Central Time

The Ashtanga Yoga system of both Patanjali and the Upanishads represents the original Yoga system of Sanatana Dharma. While many people in modernity practice different elements of Yoga, however, few practice with the understanding that the Ashtanga system is meant to be practiced as a full-fledged sadhana. In this important talk, given at the eighth International Sanatana Dharma Conference in August, 2022, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya explains how to successfully practice Yoga as a spiritually empowering sadhana.

TONIGHT!

The Teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu: Part Two
A Livestream Event With
Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya

Monday, August 1, 7pm Central Time

In this very special multi-part livestream event, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya shares with us the teachings of the great Vaishnava saint, Acharya and avesha-avatara known as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu (1486-1534). Though Sri Chaitanya was one of the most important and influential Vaishnava sages in recent centuries, he left us with only eight precious verses in his own writing, known as the Shikshashtakam (The Eight Instructions). In this series of talks, Sri Acharyaji comments upon these eight sacred teachings.

“O almighty Lord, I have no desire to accumulate wealth, nor do I desire beautiful women nor do I want any number of followers. I only want Your causeless devotional service, birth after birth.” (Shikshashtakam, 4)

“O son of Maharaja Nanda [Krishna], I am Your eternal servitor, yet somehow or other I have fallen into the ocean of birth and death. Please pick me up from this ocean of death and place me as one of the atoms at Your lotus feet.” (Shikshashtakam, 5)

“O my Lord, when will my eyes be decorated with tears of love flowing constantly when I chant Your holy name? When will my voice choke up, and when will the hairs of my body stand on end at the recitation of Your name?” (Shikshashtakam, 6)

"Knowing the Eternal"
Livestream Event With
Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya

Monday, October 18, 7pm Central Time

The Eternal, God, can be gained and known by the sincere spiritual seeker. In this special livestream event, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya explores the teachings of the Mundaka Upanishad with us, and reveals precisely how we can know the Eternal!

“Let a man devoted to spiritual life examine carefully the ephemeral nature of such enjoyment, whether here or hereafter, as may be won by good works, and so realize that it is not by works that one gains the Eternal. Let him give no thought to transient things, but, absorbed in meditation, let him renounce the world. If he would know the Eternal, let him humbly approach a guru devoted to Brahman and well-versed in the scriptures.” (Mundaka Upanishad, 1.2.12)

Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya

Monday, September 13, 7pm Central Time

Each of us have numerous internal faults that keep us bound to illusion and ignorance. In this livestream discourse and Q&A session, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya comments upon a verse from the Apastamba Sutra that enumerates several of the more common internal deficiencies that many people suffer from. He will also outline the path for eradicating your inner faults.

“Now we will enumerate the faults which tend to destroy the creatures. These are anger, exultation, whining, covetousness, perplexity, doing injury, hypocrisy, lying, gluttony, slander, envy, lust, secret hatred, neglect to keep the senses under control, and neglecting to concentrate the mind. The eradication of these faults takes place through the means of liberation called Yoga.” (Apastamba Sutra, Prashna One, Patala 8, Khanda 23, verses 4-5)

"Interregnum: Toxic Governance in the Kali Yuga"
A livestream and Q&A event
With Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya

Monday, May 3rd, 7pm Central Time

Thousands of years before the common era, the Vedic scriptures revealed to us what would be the nature of corrupt and atheistic governments within the context of the Kali Yuga. In this amazing livestream discourse and Q&A session, Sri Dharma Pravartaka Acharya comments on three verses from the Srimad Bhagavatam that discuss the nature of governance today...and what true governance actually looks like. Sri Acharyaji will reveal to us the positive Vedic alternative to the current corrupt leadership and governance of the modern nation-state.

“The citizens governed by these low-class kings will imitate the character, behavior and speech of their rulers. Harassed by their leaders and by each other, they will all suffer ruination.” (Srimad Bhagavatam, 12.1.41)

“Cities will be dominated by thieves, the Vedas will be contaminated by speculative interpretations of atheists, political leaders will virtually consume the citizens, and the so-called priests and intellectuals will be devotees of their bellies and genitals.” (Srimad Bhagavatam, 12.3.32)

"The King will be firmly determined and always situated in truth. He will be a lover of the brahminical culture and will render all service to the elderly and give shelter to all surrendered souls. Giving respect to all, he will always be merciful to the poor and innocent." (Srimad Bhagavatam, 4.16.16)
