We are so excited to welcome Mandy Silverman, known to many as Mandylicious, to Beth El for a special weekend of baking, learning, and community.

From March 13–15, Mandy will lead hands-on baking experiences including brisket stuffed knot rolls, knishes, and baby babka. Her creativity, warmth, and passion for Jewish baking have inspired thousands of home bakers around the world, and we cannot wait to share that experience with our community.

Whether you are an experienced baker or just love the smell of fresh challah, this weekend will be full of flavor, fun, and tradition.

Come bake with us!!!!

Beth El is hosting a Fiddler on the Roof singalong and we hope you will join us! Think familiar songs, microphones, song sheets, snacks, and voices of all ages singing along…whether you sing beautifully, enthusiastically, or somewhere in between. It’s perfect for grandparents and grandkids, families, teens, tweens, toddlers, and everyone in between to enjoy together.
The more voices in the room, the more fun it’ll be!

“I’m absolutely thrilled that Dr. Stephen Arnoff will be joining us at Beth El. His unique ability to weave together Jewish text, modern culture, and spiritual imagination makes him one of the most compelling Jewish thinkers of our time. Few people can speak so insightfully about both Bob Dylan and the Book of Genesis — and remind us that Jewish creativity and meaning are alive and well in Jerusalem and beyond.” Rabbi Steven Abraham

In light of the current government shutdown, Beth El would like to help members of our Greater Omaha Community through donations of gift cards. Linda Saltzman has been in touch with the local TSA and FBI and learned that gift cards would greatly help their unpaid workers.

The biggest needs are gift cards for gas stations and grocery stores. Gift cards should not exceed $20.

If you are interested in helping out, please drop off gift cards or cash (we will then purchase cards) to the synagogue no later than Monday, November 3. You can drop off your donations during office hours or when you come to Beth El for programs, services or BESTT. Please leave your donations in our secured donation box in the office lobby.

You can also make an online donation by clicking this link and donating to the Programming - Donations 2025-26 fund, or you can call the office at 402-492-8550 to make your donation.

Looking for another way to make a difference? Donate or sign up for a shift to help fill our Little Free Pantry to help those in our community who are struggling.

For questions, contact Stacie at [email protected], 402-492-8550.
