Happy Father's Day to all our Dads! If your experience growing up was to know a father who loved you and showed you God's love, you are very blessed. For many, this was not the case. Even if your natural father was not the best example of a father, one thing we can all experience is the love of our heavenly Father. “The LORD says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.’ ” –Psalm 32:8 NLT

We all have a different path to walk in life, shaped by our experiences, our choices, and the calling that God has placed on our lives. However, everyone’s path has something in common: sometimes it’s easy, sometimes it’s not. We get to choose for ourselves whether we will walk with God or without Him. When you choose to walk with God you can be certain that you are walking along the BEST path for your life, and you can be certain that God is always right next to you.

Prayer for you: Loving Father, thank you so much for guiding me along the best pathway for my life. Thank you for leading me into your plan. When I feel lost or hopeless, remind me to look to you and to trust your plan. When I become overconfident in my own way, remind me that your way is always better. Thank you for continually advising me and watching over me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

"But even before I was born, God chose me and called me by His marvelous grace." -Galatians 1:15a

In this letter, Paul tells the Galatians his message comes directly from Christ. He reminds them that even though he used to be Jesus' biggest enemy, God had chosen him before he was even born. God knew that Paul would be a Pharisee and reject Jesus at first. But even Paul imprisoning and murdering Christians couldn't stop the good plan God had for his life, just like nothing can stop the good plan God has for your life. After all, He's had it since before you were born.

Prayer for you: Gracious God, I thank you that I am chosen and called by you. I know that you have a good purpose for my life, and I am eager to walk it out. Please help my eyes and ears to be open to your directions, and help me to remember to look to you for guidance whenever I feel lost. Thank you for using me to spread the gospel to the ends of the earth. In Jesus' name, Amen.

“ ‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’ ” –Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

So many people make plans for you at different times throughout your life: you, your parents, your spouse, your boss, the government. Sometimes those plans are good; other times, not so much. But there is one person who always has nothing but GOOD plans for your entire life, and that’s God. Plans to prosper you! Plans to give you a hope and a future! Through all of life’s ups and downs, God’s got you WELL taken care of.

Prayer for you: Lord, thank you for laying out nothing but good and prosperous plans for my life. Through the bad times, help me remember that you still have good things in store for me to look forward to. In the good times, remind me that every good and perfect gift is from you. Thank you for prospering every area of
my life and for giving me a hope and a future. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
