🥩 PROTEIN WITH A PURPOSE IS COMING TO OMAHA NORTH!

The Salvation Army Omaha North Corps is excited to partner with Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue and Omaha Steaks for the 2nd Annual Protein With A Purpose distribution!

📅 Thursday, September 17
⏰ Distribution begins promptly at 9:00 AM
📍 The Salvation Army Omaha North Corps
2401 Manderson Street, Omaha, NE 68111

This will be a walk-up distribution.

One serving per household. No registration required. No personal information will be collected.

🚶 Enter through the Manderson entrance. Our team will be available to show you where the line begins and guide you through the distribution.

Food will be distributed WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, so please plan accordingly.

We are grateful to Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue and Omaha Steaks for helping put protein on the tables of our neighbors!

We’re just a few days from welcoming the city to our corridor for NAACP’s rescheduled Juneteenth Parade! We’re pulling together to make this year’s celebration unforgettable — and clean.

Join us Saturday, August 15th for the parade, and stick around immediately afterward to help us do a quick sweep of the route. Let’s team up for a clean neighborhood!

Help us prevent litter along the route by holding onto your wrappers, using the designated bins, and joining the community-wide effort to 🚯

This Is What Community Looks Like 🛡️

We were proud to join a packed house at The SAL Omaha North Corps Community Center to celebrate a space that means so much to this neighborhood. From Salvation Army leadership and community members to Omaha Mayor John W. Ewing, Jr., First Lady Dr. Viv Ewing, and many of the hands and hearts that helped bring this vision to life. It was a fitting celebration of what this place has represented for generations!

Throughout the morning, stories were shared of personal connections to the Center and the deep roots it has built across North Omaha. Now, with its renovation and addition finished, those stories have even more room to grow.

We’re incredibly proud of the finished product and grateful to have played a part in its next chapter. A place to play, gather, share a meal, worship, and strengthen community connections, all under one roof. The ribbon is cut. Now it’s North Omaha’s turn to fill this place with what comes next ✂️✝️💙

Join us for a hands-on volunteer opportunity supporting our annual Salvation Army 7 Can Help Kids Back to School Backpack Program!

Volunteers will help sort supplies, stuff backpacks, and prepare materials to ensure that all local students go back to school ready to learn.

This is a great opportunity for both individuals and groups! Volunteer shifts are available from July 20 through August 11.
