Pastor's June Message

Fellow Workers with Jesus,

Do you remember the beginning of this year? Do you remember we talked about opportunities and challenges that this year would bring? We mentioned a few things that we knew were going to happen, like Lent and Easter. So here it is June, approaching the halfway mark. And we ask if we have accomplished some of the things on our to-do list or our Want-to-do list?

Have we made it a point to invite our neighbors to get to know Jesus?

Have we demonstrated to people our commitment to worship?

Have we been serious about serving the needs of our community?

Our property has been improved with a new roof on both the church and parsonage.

Our new ministry is about ready to take off with the proposal from Giving Grace. Our parking lot will be fixed soon. Our membership has grown by two. And we are checking on our electrical system to bring it up to code.

We have joined the Omaha Circuit churches in reaching out to immigrants through the focused ministry of Nader and Georgette. And we are committed to doing the same focused on the people in our neighborhood.

But we continue to face new challenges along with new opportunities. People around us need to hear about Jesus. They need to be invited to join us. They need to catch the excitement of serving the King. We have 7 months to help them. Let’s get busy…
