St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church

St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church Sunday Services
Matins, 9:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy, 10:00 a.m. in the Park Avenue neighborhood of Omaha, Nebraska.

Our Mission: We pursue and proclaim the Orthodox Christian way of life, and invite all to be part of a community that supports one another in health and well-being of body, soul, and spirit to experience salvation. We express the Greek Orthodox faith and culture from our historic Byzantine style edifice designed by John Latenser, Sr. Our parish is an institutional anchor in the neighborhood and we

serve the needs of its residents cooperatively with other religious, educational, and social organizations. Our public events offer religious and cultural education to hundreds of visitors each year, including tours of our place of worship. Our parish organizations distribute food, clothing, and school supplies on a regular basis throughout the year and participate in local outreach through the neighborhood associations.

The Saints are our role models; we are called to imitate them, as they imitated Christ.

Let us pray to the Lord for guidance and strength as we attempt to reach the choir of the Saints where God Himself patiently and lovingly waits for each and every one of us.
