✨ GEEZ LOUISE… A REFLECTION 🪞
Sunday Sermon Reflection | John 18:1–11 (NKJV)
This morning’s sermon reminded me of something we see every day in today’s culture:
Everybody wants control… until life doesn’t go according to plan.
In John 18:1–11, Jesus wasn’t surprised by betrayal, politics, power struggles, public pressure, or people changing sides. Judas arrived with influence, authority, and a crowd behind him—yet Jesus remained calm, purposeful, and obedient.
Sound familiar?
Today we live in a world driven by headlines, outrage, social media opinions, economic uncertainty, division, and the pressure to react immediately. Everyone is reaching for the sword—whether through words, assumptions, division, status, power, or fear.
But Jesus showed another way.
He didn’t panic.
He didn’t chase public approval.
He didn’t lose His assignment trying to defend Himself.
Instead, He trusted GOD’s greater plan.
Maybe that’s our lesson today:
Not every battle requires our response.
Not every betrayal deserves our energy.
Not every cultural moment deserves our peace.
Some situations require prayer over panic… wisdom over noise… and purpose over performance.
Because even when society feels uncertain—GOD is still sovereign.
Geez Louise… maybe true strength isn’t controlling everything around us. Maybe it’s trusting GOD while everything around us feels out of control.
