What a passionate and powerful WORD this morning at Pleasant Green Baptist Church!

Joseph knew betrayal. He knew what it meant to be mistreated by people who should have loved him. Yet what others intended to use against him could not cancel what GOD had already placed upon his life. By Genesis 45, the pit is behind Joseph. The prison is behind him. The betrayal didn't destroy him—and now the very family from whom he had been separated was being restored to him.

Pharaoh's message to Joseph's family was essentially: Don't worry about what you're leaving behind. The best is waiting for you.

📖 WHAT DOES GENESIS 45:16–28 MEAN FOR US?
Sometimes GOD'S answer doesn't look like revenge—it looks like restoration.

People may misunderstand you, mistreat you, speak against you or even attempt to damage your good name. Don't allow what they do to determine who you become. Joseph had every reason to remain bitter, yet GOD positioned him to become a blessing. Be careful how you treat people. Life has a way of bringing paths back together, and the person you dismiss today may be the very person GOD uses to bless you tomorrow.
And when Jacob finally saw the evidence that Joseph was alive, his spirit revived.

That's a WORD all by itself:
What looked dead wasn't dead.
What looked lost wasn't lost.
And what looked impossible wasn't beyond GOD.
So whatever you're facing today—

YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS.
GOD WILL HANDLE IT. 🙌🏾

Pleasant Green Baptist Church extends our heartfelt gratitude to Second Baptist Church for the gracious invitation to join you on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in celebrating the 4th Pastoral Anniversary of Pastor Shawn Vincent Thompson and First Lady Danielle Thompson.

It was truly an honor and privilege for our Senior Pastor, Rev. Brian E. Page, to serve as Worship Leader, alongside the Pleasant Green Baptist Church Music Ministry, under the leadership of Minister of Music Christi Ballard, as we joined the Second Baptist Church family in lifting our voices and hearts in worship. 🎶🙌🏾
