Matthew 14:22-33. Among all the disciples, Peter was the only one willing to trust that Jesus could protect him. But then, after Peter took a few impossible steps out onto the water, answering Jesus' call to "come," he took his eyes off the Savior and began to focus on the storm around him (on the distractions of life, the burdens that work to bring each of us down). Peter began to sink and called out to Jesus, "Lord, save me!" And Jesus did just that. Why/how, as humans, do we see the wonders of the Lord and still find ways to doubt him? Cast your doubts aside and ask the Lord to help you, to forgive you, and ultimately to save you. For he loves you, unconditionally, and his hand is stretched out and waiting...
